For its 100th anniversary, Kino Krokodil produced a special program with articles on its history, the current state of small cinemas and a list of show- ings. A newspaper format was chosen to create an object that is based in the present and mani- fests the passage of time. We were inspired by the idea of projected light, shown by areas of yellow, orange and pink that span across the spreads. Kino Krokodil shows films from Russia and Eastern Europe, which we referenced by de- signing the cover so that light comes from the right; the eastern section of a map.
