The theme of the “Updating Germany / Projects for a Better Future” exhibition at the Venice Biennale was the notion of a world out of balance. Each project was suspended from large mobiles, seemingly shifted out of balance and toppled. Our design for the exhibition information echoed this idea: loose piles of cardboard panels were scattered throughout the German Pavilion, creating a delicate landscape of fragile constructions.
